Bio-remediation of Crude oil sludge in a cement tray
Situation
Sludge removed from the tank bottom has been alloted for trial bio remediation in a refinery.
The client wanted the treatment of the sludge to be done inside a cement tray. Necessary treatment has to be done prior
to the disposal. The total percentage of hydrocarbons in the sludge was 22%.

Result
We had remediated the sludge in the tray itself, within 6 months.
Achievement:
The total percentage of hydro-carbons was brought down to less than 2%.
